Do you get a small smile each time someone asks to see your business card? Are you just waiting to bring it out and let them see? Are you truly proud of what you get to hand to people? The answer to all of these questions should be yes, but for a lot of people, that isn’t the case.

You may think that you want a different advertising flyer every time you want to promote your business. But what about brand identity? If you keep changing your flyers for every event, no one will recognize it’s you.

Many companies use charity to both do something good while simultaneously enhancing their brand. The prototypical large effort in this arena was by American Express over 20 years ago in its effort to save the Statue of Liberty.

Successful branding really is all about one thing: recognition from your customers, when your customers are able to identify just what your company, product, or service is all about and are able to separate you from your competition.
